I am frustrated by the tendency among some Christians to publicly criticize fellow believers with whom they disagree. For example, the controversy surrounding Kirk Cameron’s profession of the Annihilationist View on Hell illustrates this issue. Rather than expressing satisfaction in others’ perceived shortcomings, would it not be more constructive to present scriptural reasoning to support one’s perspective without personalizing the disagreement? And if genuine concern exists, would it not be more appropriate to reach out to the individual privately, such as by email or in a direct conversation, to discuss these differences as stated in scripture?
